Major Themes in the Minor Prophets

Major Themes in the Minor Prophets
Feb 3—24 (4-weeks)
Sun, 11:30am | Rm 201
Instructor: Dr. Jim Lindsay

Description:
This four-week course examines major themes in Amos, Hosea, and Micah—the three Minor Prophets who were active in Israel and Judah prior to and shortly after the Assyrian conquest of the Northern Kingdom in 722 B.C. We will examine the historical, political, and social worlds of Israel and Judah to help us better understand how the language, metaphors, and messages of Amos, Hosea, and Micah would have been understood by their contemporaries then as well as how we can apply their messages to our own lives today.
